One-on-one mentoring and editing services

What does a mentoring session look like?

If you're interested in mentoring but unsure what happens during a session or if it's the right thing for you, please rest assured that the sessions are highly individual and will be tailored to your needs and those of your writing.

 

Before signing up for mentoring, I'll arrange a free introductory call where we can meet, discuss your writing journey so far and what you would like out of mentoring. This is a chance to get to know each other and to see if we are a good fit.

 

If you're happy to continue after that, then you will send me up to 4,000 words of your project. I will give detailed feedback on your work, including providing a marked-up version of the doc, followed by a 45-minute conversation, either online or in person in Amsterdam, to discuss the project, your ambitions and possible next steps. This is suitable for any writer looking to take their work to the next level, whether you're polishing a manuscript or exploring new ideas. ​

Mentoring can help you to refine your storytelling, hone your voice and smooth the unintended bumps in your tale. It can also give you the confidence needed to share your work with the world.

Costs

If you are interested in mentoring and editing services, please see below for an indication of my fees.
 
€120 per session.
Includes written edits on up to 4,000 words, and a forty-five minute mentoring session (in person in Amsterdam or online).

For bookings of three sessions, I charge €300 total.
